My current work covers national research platforms, institutional strategy, and research technology that support modern computational and data-intensive research.
OneSciencePlace: A research computing and data platform that supports computational and data-intensive research through scalable services for scientific workflows, applications, and data.
Interactive Discovery Lab (iDLab): A collaborative initiative led by UCLA to broaden access to advanced computing and data through a unified, browser-based environment spanning multiple supercomputing centers and cloud platforms. The work focuses on federated access, shared discovery of applications and data, and lower-friction use of distributed research infrastructure for research and education.
Quakeworx: A science gateway for earthquake simulation and data analysis, designed to expand access to advanced computational tools, models, and data for the seismic research community.
Institutional Research Data Storage: Contributing to strategy and planning for research data storage capabilities that support scalable, sustainable, and researcher-aligned data services.
Institutional Datacenter Strategy: Contributing to datacenter strategy planning for the infrastructure and capacity needed to support future research computing, data, and AI demands.
Selected Past Initiatives
OneIT Research Working Group: Co-led UCLA’s OneIT Research Working Group, helping shape university-wide priorities and recommendations for research technology.
